SYMPTOM CHART

A module does not respond to the scan tool	Fuse Scan tool DLC Wiring, terminals or connectors Module	REFER to SYMPTOM CHART: COMMUNICATION NETWORK .
An audible tone sounds within 60 seconds of ignition ON	SRS fault or air bag warning indicator fault	CARRY OUT the RCM and IPC self-tests. REFER to DTC Chart: Restraint Control Module (RCM) or REFER to DTC CHART: INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) .
The air bag indicator is flashing	SRS fault	CARRY OUT the RCM and OCSM self tests. REFER to DTC Chart: Restraint Control Module (RCM) or REFER to DTC Chart: Occupant Classification System Module (OCSM) .
The air bag warning indicator is illuminated continuously	Fuse Wiring, terminals or connectors IPC RCM or OCSM	CARRY OUT the RCM and OCSM self tests. REFER to DTC Chart: Restraint Control Module (RCM) or REFER to DTC Chart: Occupant Classification System Module (OCSM) . If no DTCs were retrieved from the RCM or OCSM, REFER to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE R : The Air Bag Warning Indicator Is Never or Always On. If the RCM does not respond to the scan tool, REFER to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE C : The Restraints Control Module (RCM) Does Not Respond To The Scan Tool. If the OCSM does not respond to the scan tool, REFER to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE E : The Occupant Classification System Module (OCSM) Does Not Respond To The Scan Tool.
