Spark Plugs: Installation

All spark plugs 

  1. Adjust the spark plug gaps as necessary. For the correct spark plug gap specification, refer to SPECIFICATIONS .

  2. NOTE: Only use hand tools when removing or installing the spark plugs or damage can occur to the cylinder head or spark plug.

    Install the spark plugs.

    • Tighten to 18 Nm (159 lb-in).

    Lower spark plugs 

  3. Connect the ignition wire to the lower spark plugs.

    Upper spark plugs 

  4. Install the ignition coil-on-plugs. For additional information, refer to IGNITION COIL-ON-PLUG .
