Component Location: Overview

The heated steering wheel system consists of the following components:
- Steering wheel heater elements (part of steering wheel)
- FDIM
- HSWM
- Steering wheel temperature sensor (part of steering wheel)
The heated steering wheel will not energize if the steering wheel temperature is above 29°C (84°F). Slow heating of the steering wheel where the wood and leather interface (10 o'clock and 2 o'clock positions) is considered normal.
The HSWM requires PMI when replaced.
