Removal and Installation

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Press the 5 position retaining tabs and rotate the lower cooling fan shroud upward until the position retainer tab locks into position.

  3. Detach the 2 lower radiator hose assembly retainers and position the lower radiator hose assembly aside.
  4. Remove the 4 nuts and position the stabilizer bar downward.
    • To install, tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).
  5. Using the Fan Pulley Holding Wrench and the Fan Clutch Nut Wrench, remove the fan and fan clutch from the coolant pump pulley.
    • To install, tighten to 133 Nm (98 lb-ft).

  6. If servicing the cooling fan or the cooling fan clutch, remove the 4 bolts and separate the cooling fan from the cooling fan clutch.
    • To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
