Exhaust Intermediate Pipe - 6.7L Diesel: Removal

NOTE: Exhaust fasteners are of a torque prevailing design. Use only new fasteners with the same part number as the original. Torque values must be used as specified during reassembly to make sure of correct retention of exhaust components.
NOTE: Discard all fasteners and gaskets after removal. Install new during assembly.
  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Remove and discard the 3 catalyst and particulate filter assembly-to-exhaust intermediate pipe nuts.
    • Discard the catalyst and particulate filter assembly-to-exhaust intermediate pipe gasket.
  3. Remove and discard the 3 nuts and remove the exhaust intermediate pipe.
    • Discard the exhaust intermediate pipe-to-tailpipe assembly gasket.
