General Procedure

- Remove the door latch striker.
- To adjust the door for in and out or up and down alignment:
- Loosen, but do not remove, the rear door hinge-to-rear door bolts enough to allow door alignment.
- To adjust the door or front-to-back or tilt alignment:
- Remove the front and rear door scuff plates. REFER to SCUFF PLATE TRIM PANEL .
- Position the front seat all the way forward and down.
- Position the lower B-pillar aside.
- Depower the SRS. REFER to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEPOWERING AND REPOWERING - WITH INTELLIGENT ACCESS or REFER to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEPOWERING AND REPOWERING - WITHOUT INTELLIGENT ACCESS .
- Disconnect the adaptive load limiter and pretensioner electrical connectors.
- Remove the upper and lower bolts and position the safety belt retractor and pretensioner aside.
- Adjust the door to specification. REFER to BODY REPAIRS , Component Description.
- Tighten the door fasteners.
- Tighten the rear door hinge-to-rear door bolts to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
- Tighten the rear door hinge-to-body nuts to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).
- Install and adjust the door latch striker to specification. REFER to
BODY REPAIRS
, Component Description.
- Tighten to 22 Nm (16 lb-ft).
- Install the upper and lower bolts and position the safety belt retractor and pretensioner aside.
- Reconnect the adaptive load limiter and pretensioner electrical connectors.
- Repower the SRS. REFER to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEPOWERING AND REPOWERING - WITH INTELLIGENT ACCESS or REFER to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEPOWERING AND REPOWERING - WITHOUT INTELLIGENT ACCESS .
- Position the lower B-pillar back.
- Position the front seat back to the original position.
- Install the front and rear door scuff plates. REFER to SCUFF PLATE TRIM PANEL .
