General Procedure

NOTE: These procedures apply to both wire-formed and stamped D-ring designs.
  1. If necessary, remove the B, C or D-pillar trim panel. REFER to B-PILLAR TRIM PANEL , C-PILLAR TRIM PANEL - WITHOUT INFLATABLE SAFETY BELTS or C-PILLAR TRIM PANEL - WITH INFLATABLE SAFETY BELTS , and D-PILLAR TRIM PANEL .
  2. NOTE: Typical D-ring shown in illustration, others similar.

    Grasp the safety belt webbing at the D-ring and fold the twisted portion of the belt webbing over itself.

  3. Feed the folded portion of the safety belt webbing through the D-ring to remove the twist from the belt webbing.
