Pinpoint Test Q: All Passenger Windows Are Inoperative

- Q1 CHECK REAR PASSENGER WINDOW OPERATION FROM THE LH FRONT WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH
- Ignition ON.

NOTE: Make sure the LH window control switch lockout switch is in the UNLOCK position.
Attempt to operate the rear passenger windows from the LH front window control switch.
Do the rear passenger windows operate from the LH front window control switch?
- Yes : GO to Q2 .
- No
: For Base, REPAIR circuit CBP01 (BU) for an open.
For XLT or Limited, GO to Q3.
- Q2 CHECK THE LH FRONT WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH LOCK-OUT CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect: LH Front Window Control Switch C504 (XLT, Limited) or C535A (Base).
- Disconnect: LH Rear Window Control Switch C701 .
- Measure:
Positive Lead Measurement/Action Negative Lead C701-5 (XLT, Limited) or (Base) C535A-3
Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?
- Yes : INSTALL a new LH front window control switch. Refer to WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH .
- No
: For police vehicles, VERIFY in-line connector C3206
is connected. If connected, REPAIR the circuit. If not connected, the system is operating correctly. The in-line connector, when removed, disables the rear window operation except from the master window control switch.
For non-police vehicles, REPAIR the circuit.
- Q3 CHECK THE REAR WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH POWER FEED FOR AN OPEN OR SHORT TO GROUND
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect: BCM C2280D .
- Disconnect: LH Rear Window Control Switch C701 .
- Measure:
Positive Lead Measurement/Action Negative Lead C701-1 Ground - Measure:
Positive Lead Measurement/Action Negative Lead C701-1 C2280D-27
Is the resistance greater than 10, 000 ohms between the window control switch and ground; and less than 3 ohms between the window control switch and BCM ?
- Yes : INSTALL a new BCM circuit breaker 48 (30A).
- No : REPAIR the circuit.
