Door Lock Control Switch
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2013 Ford Explorer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The door lock control switches receive voltage signals from the BCM on the lock and unlock input circuits. When the switch is pressed to lock or unlock, the corresponding input circuit is routed to ground, signalling the BCM to lock or unlock the doors. The door lock control switches have a dedicated ground circuit.
The BCM sends the door lock control switch command over the MS-CAN to the RFA module. The RFA module then locks or unlocks the doors depending upon the switch input.
