General Procedure

  1. Loosen the LH and RH rear hinge-to-hood bolts to the point that the hood will have slight movement.
  2. Loosen the LH and RH front hinge-to-hood bolts to the point that the hood will have slight movement.
  3. Adjust the hood to specification. REFER to BODY REPAIRS , Component Description.
  4. Carefully open the hood and tighten the LH and RH front and rear hinge-to-hood bolts.
    • Tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
  5. NOTE: The hood adjusting bumpers are located in the hood panel.

    Adjust the hood bumpers so the hood fits flush to the fenders.
