PINPOINT TEST F: The Adaptive Cruise Control Does Not Function In Rain Or Snow

  1. F1 INSPECT THE FRONT BUMPER COVER FOR DAMAGE 
    • With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. REFER to JACKING AND LIFTING , Lifting Points.
    • Inspect the front and back of the front bumper cover for damage.

    Is the front bumper cover damaged? 

    1. Yes  : REPAIR or INSTALL a new front bumper cover as necessary. If installing a new front bumper cover, REFER to BUMPER COVER - FRONT .
    2. No  : GO to F2  .
  2. F2 INSPECT THE C-CM AND FRONT BUMPER COVER FOR DEBRIS, MOISTURE, SNOW OR ICE 
    • Inspect for debris, moisture, snow or ice on the front and back of the front bumper cover and sensor.

    Is the C-CM obstructed or blocked? 

    1. Yes  : CLEAN the front bumper cover and radar sensor portion as necessary.
    2. No  : GO to F3  .
  3. F3 INSPECT THE C-CM BRACKET FOR CORRECT MOUNTING 
    • Inspect the C-CM  for loose mounting or damage at the 3 mounting points.

    Is the C-CM bracket loose or damaged? 

    1. Yes  : Correctly INSTALL the bracket or INSTALL new grommets as necessary. ALIGN the sensor. Refer to CRUISE CONTROL MODULE (C-CM) (WITH SENSOR) ADJUSTMENT .
    2. No  : GO to F4  .
  4. F4 CARRY OUT THE VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL ALIGNMENT 

    Is the concern still present? 

    1. Yes  : INSTALL a new C-CM  . Refer to CRUISE-CONTROL MODULE (C-CM) .
    2. No  : The system is operating correctly. The condition was caused by misalignment.
