Seat Backrest Cover - 60 Percent: Removal

NOTE:
For parts identification and location, Refer to SEAT - EXPLODED VIEW .
- Remove the 60 percent seat. Refer to SEAT .
- From under the seat, detach the 2 sets of cushion cover J-clips.
- From under the seat, detach the cushion cover strap.
- Pull the cushion cover retaining strip out from between the riser and cushion frame.

NOTE: To pivot the backrest, the inboard latch foot must be in the latched position.
Lift the cushion foam pad and cover up. Remove the safety belt buckle and safety belt anchor assembly-to-inboard recliner bolt and position the safety belt anchor out from behind the recliner.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- If equipped, remove the head restraint guide sleeves. REFER to HEAD RESTRAINT GUIDE SLEEVE .

NOTE: Make sure the safety belt guide cover screws are securely fastened.
Remove the 2 screws and the safety belt guide cover.
- To install, tighten to 3.5 Nm (31 lb-in).
- Open the backrest cover.
- If equipped, remove the armrest. Refer to ARMREST .
- If equipped with an armrest, detach the J-clips in the armrest pocket.

NOTE: Use care when separating the backrest cover from the hook-and-loop strip or the hook-and-loop strip may be torn from the backrest foam pad.
Position the backrest cover inside out and separate the hook-and-loop strips and remove the 3 rows of 3 hog rings.
- Position the backrest cover inside out to the top of the backrest, feed the safety belt through and remove the backrest cover.
