Seat Cushion Heater Mat: Removal

NOTE:
The passenger seat is equipped with an OCS
bladder system, to prevent system failure, it is necessary to carry out the OCS
reset when a front passenger seat cushion is disassembled, a new cushion cover is installed or an OCS
service kit is installed. A scan tool is used to carry out the OCS
reset.
NOTE:
Do not reinstall any heater mat after removal. The adhesive will not adhere correctly, causing it to bunch up or shift out of place. A new heater mat and a new foam pad must be installed. If a new heater mat is needed for a passenger seat cushion, an OCS
service kit must be installed. Failure to follow these instructions can result in heated seat component damage, system failure or incorrect OCS
operation.
NOTE:
The passenger seat is equipped with an OCS
bladder system, a new OCS
service kit and a new cushion heated seat mat must be installed. REFER to
OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (OCS) SENSOR
.
NOTE:
An OCS
bladder system and the Occupant Classification System (OCS) service kit has the electrical connector glued to the OCSM
. It cannot and should not be disconnected or altered.
NOTE:

NOTE: All Seats
For a passenger seat equipped with a OCS service kit, remove the OCS sensor. For additional information, REFER to OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (OCS) SENSOR .
- Remove the seat cushion cover. For additional information, refer to SEAT CUSHION COVER .

NOTE: Note the wire harness routing for installation.
At the front of the seat track, disconnect the cushion heater mat electrical connector and separate the wire harness retainer.
- Remove the cushion foam pad from the cushion frame. Discard the cushion foam pad with heater mat.

NOTE: Power seat track on top, manual seat track on bottom.
For a passenger seat, remove the OCSM in the following sequence:
- Disconnect the electrical connector.

NOTE: For manual seat track only.
If equipped, bend the locking tab downward.
- Remove the 2 screws.

NOTE: Power seat track on top, manual seat track on bottom.
For a passenger seat, separate the pressure sensor in the following sequence:
- Bend the locking tab downward.
- Slide the pressure sensor off of the bracket.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- For a passenger seat, detach the OCS bladder pin-type retainers.

NOTE: Power seat track on top, manual seat track on bottom.
For a passenger seat, route the OCS hose and pressure sensor through the cushion support wires.
