Transmission Control Module (TCM): Removal

NOTE: The Transmission Control Module (TCM) is located on the left frame rail under the cab.
  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. NOTE: Keep the Transmission Control Module (TCM) electrical connector straight when disconnecting it or damage the connector terminals can occur.

    Slide the lock tab out to unlock the Transmission Control Module (TCM) electrical connector and disconnect the TCM electrical connector.

  3. Remove and discard the 2 nuts and remove the TCM.
