- No : GO to B2 .
- B2 CHECK THE BACKUP TRANSCEIVER CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
- Ignition OFF.
- Measure:
Positive Lead Measurement/Action Negative Lead C3371-2 Ground C3371-3 Ground C3371-4 Ground C3371-5 Ground
Are the resistances greater than 10, 000 ohms?
- Yes : GO to B3 .
- No : REPAIR the circuit in question.
- B3 CHECK THE BACKUP TRANSCEIVER CIRCUITS FOR AN OPEN
- Measure:
Positive Lead Measurement/Action Negative Lead C3371-2 C2153D-11 C3371-3 C2153D-13 C3371-4 C2153D-12 C3371-5 C2153D-14
Are the resistances less than 3 ohms?
- Yes : GO to B4 .
- No : REPAIR the circuit in question.
- Measure:
- B4 CHECK THE BACKUP TRANSCEIVER
- Install a new backup transceiver. Refer to BACKUP TRANSCEIVER .
- Connect: RFA Module C2153D.
- Clear the RFA module DTCs .
- Using a scan tool, perform the RFA module self-test.
Is DTC B10D9:11, B10D9:12, B10D9:31 or B10D9:87 present?
- Yes : INSTALL the original backup transceiver. GO to B5 .
- No : The backup transceiver was the cause of the concern.
- B5 CHECK FOR CORRECT RFA MODULE OPERATION
- Disconnect and inspect all the RFA module connectors.
- Repair:
- corrosion (replace connector or terminals - clean module pins)
- damaged or bent pins - replace terminals/pins
- pushed-out pins - replace pins as necessary
- Connect all the RFA module connectors. Make sure they seat and latch correctly.
- Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
- Yes : CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs . If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new RFA module. REFER to REMOTE FUNCTION ACTUATOR (RFA) MODULE .
- No : The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by module connections. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
