Lane Keeping Aid Or Lane Keeping Alert Display

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2013 Ford Explorer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The lane keeping aid or lane keeping alert display is controlled by data sent to the IPC  from the IPM-A  .

The lane keeping aid or lane keeping alert display is viewed in the LH IPC  display screen and is depicted by an overhead view of the vehicle in the middle of a lane with right and left lane markers. The lane markers change color to indicate the condition associated with a specific condition and action or warning as controlled by the lane departure warning system. The lane departure warning system can be turned off by the driver. When the system is turned off, the lane keeping aid or lane keeping alert display is not depicted in the LH IPC  display screen. Refer to LANE DEPARTURE WARNING for a complete description of the lane departure warning system and the associated lane marker color changes/warnings.
