Exhaust Manifold - RH: Removal

NOTE:
For EXPORT ONLY vehicles (outside US/Canada) an Export Supplement is provided and should be referenced to identify differences that can impact service procedures. Vehicles can be identified by referring to the underhood Vehicle Emission Control Information (VECI) label which states, "Not certified for US EPA or CARB Regulations".
- Remove the upper intake manifold. For additional information, refer to INTAKE MANIFOLD - UPPER .
- Remove the RH turbocharger inlet pipe. For additional information refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM .
- Remove the turbocharger. For additional information, refer to FUEL CHARGING AND CONTROLS - TURBOCHARGER .
- Remove the 2 bolts and the EGR valve inlet tube bracket.
- Discard the bolts.

NOTE: EGR cooler side shown, exhaust manifold side similar.
Remove the 4 bolts and the EGR valve inlet tube.
- Remove the 2 fuel rail supply tube bracket bolts.

NOTE: It will be necessary to flex the fuel tube toward the front of the vehicle in order to remove the exhaust manifold heat shield.
Remove the 5 bolts and the RH exhaust manifold heat shield.
- Remove the 8 nuts, 8 spacers and the RH exhaust manifold.
- Remove and discard the exhaust manifold gasket and nuts.
- Replace any exhaust manifold stud(s) that is damaged or removed with the nut.
