Push Rod Cleaning and Inspection

  1. Thoroughly clean each push rod using a suitable solvent. Dry using filtered, compressed air.
  2. Inspect each push rod for wear and deposits which may restrict the flow of oil into the rocker arm assembly. Install a new push rod as needed.
  3. Inspect the ball end of the push rod, if the end does not have a polished look, replace the push rod.
