In-Vehicle Repair: Flexplate: Removal

  1. Remove the transmission. For additional information, refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE/TRANSMISSION - TORQSHIFT 6 .
  2. Rotate the engine clockwise until the 2 slotted holes on the flexplate are at the 6 o'clock position as shown in illustration.

  3. Remove the 8 bolts and the flexplate.
    • Discard the 8 flexplate bolts.
