Removal and Installation

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
  2. Remove the 3 twist lock retainers and the underbody air duct.

  3. NOTE: Failure to position the wood block and floor jack as illustrated can result in damage to the oil pan.

    Position a floor jack with a block of wood under the front of the oil pan.

  4. Remove the engine coolant degas bottle. REFER to DEGAS BOTTLE .
  5. Disconnect the upper radiator hose from the intake manifold.

  6. Remove the A/C tube bracket bolts from the upper and lower RH shock tower.
    1. To install, tighten to 15 Nm (133 lb-in).
    2. To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

  7. Remove the 4 nuts, 3 bolts and the engine mount.
    • To install, tighten the bolts to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft).
    • To install, tighten the nuts to 63 Nm (46 lb-ft).

  8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  9. Fill and bleed the cooling system. REFER to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
