Removal and Installation

Both fenders
- Remove the front bumper cover. For additional information, refer to BUMPERS .
- Remove the fender splash shield. For additional information, refer to FENDER SPLASH SHIELD .

NOTE: The rocker panel pin-type retainers are one-time-use only. New pin-type retainers must be installed.
Remove the 4 front rocker panel pin-type retainers and position the rocker panel aside.
- Remove the 2 lower fender bolts.
- To install, tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
- Remove the front fender bolt.
- To install, tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
- Remove the rear fender bolt through the door opening.
- To install, tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
- Remove the front bumper cover bracket bolts.
- Remove the front bumper cover bracket.
Right fender
- Disconnect the hood ajar switch.
Both fenders
- Remove the 4 upper fender bolts and the fender.
- To install, tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
