Transmission Fluid Cooler: Removal

- Remove the 8 pin-type retainers and the upper air deflector.
- Remove the Air Cleaner (ACL) assembly, the ACL outlet pipe and the ACL inlet pipe. Refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING .
- Remove the 2 bolts and position the degas bottle aside.
- Disconnect the cooling fan electrical connector.
- Remove the 4 bolts and the upper radiator support brackets.
- Remove the 2 A/C condenser bolts.
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
- Remove the 3 bolts and lower the underbody shield.
- Remove the 13 screws and the lower radiator sight shield.
- Remove the 2 nuts and position the A/C condenser forward.
- Remove both transmission fluid cooler tube quick connect secondary latches.
- Using the Transmission Cooler Line Disconnect Tool, disconnect the transmission cooler tube assemblies.
- Remove the transmission fluid cooler tube-to-fan shroud bolt.
- Remove the 2 transmission fluid cooler screws.
- Lift and remove the transmission fluid cooler from the retaining pockets.
