Oil Cooler Thermostat: Removal

- Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
- Remove the ACL assembly and the ACL outlet tube. Refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING .

NOTE: If metal or aluminum material is present in the oil cooler thermostat, mechanical concerns exist. Failure to correct these concerns may cause engine failure. To diagnose mechanical concerns, refer to ENGINE SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION .
Remove the 6 bolts and the oil cooler thermostat.
