Thermostat Housing - 3.7L: Removal

- Drain the cooling system Refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
- Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING .

NOTE: Cover the accessory drive belts to prevent coolant contamination of the belts.
Completely cover the accessory drive belts with waterproof plastic.
- Release the clamp and disconnect the thermostat housing-to-degas bottle from the thermostat housing.
- Release the clamp and disconnect the lower radiator hose from the thermostat housing.
- Release the clamp and disconnect the coolant return hose from the thermostat housing.
- Release the clamp and disconnect the upper radiator hose from the thermostat housing.
- Remove the 4 bolts and the thermostat housing.
- Remove and discard the 2 O-ring seals.
