Removal and Installation

- Remove the rear seat backrest. For additional information, refer to SEATING .
- Remove the safety belt retractor bolt.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- Disconnect the luggage compartment lid latch actuator cable from the luggage compartment lid lock cylinder.
- Slide the luggage compartment lid lock cylinder retainer off the lock cylinder.
- Remove the luggage compartment lid lock cylinder.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
