Seat Backrest - Rear, Coupe: Disassembly

  1. Remove the rear seat backrest. For additional information, refer to SEAT BACKREST - REAR .
  2. NOTE: Use care when separating the backrest cover from the hook-and-loop strip. The hook-and-loop strip can be torn from the seat backrest foam.

    Invert the backrest cover up the backrest to the head restraint.

    1. Detach the backrest cover hook-and-loop strip at the lower outboard side.
    2. At the bottom of the backrest cover, disengage the J-clips.
    3. Detach the hook-and-loop strips and separate the backrest cover from the backrest foam pad.
    4. Invert the backrest cover up the backrest to the head restraint.
  3. Remove the head restraint assemblies.
    • Push the buttons in at the top of the head restraint guide sleeves.
  4. Remove the backrest cover.
  5. Remove the backrest foam pad.
  6. NOTE: Typical backrest frame shown in illustration in illustration.

    Push the tab in on each head restraint guide sleeve to disengage the retainer, pull up and remove.

  7. To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.
