Tailgate Step Adjustment

- Loosen the 4 tailgate step bolts.
- Loosen the driver side tailgate step nab pin nut.
- Cycle the tailgate step to the fully extended position 2 times.
- Using a suitable trim tool or wedge, pry upward on the driver side of the flex step.
- Tighten the driver side tailgate step nab pin to 11 Nm (97 lb-in).
- Tighten the 4 tailgate step bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

NOTE: Make sure the tailgate step does not pinch against the tailgate moulding.
Inspect the tailgate step gap margin and flushness and adjust as necessary.
- Gap Margin = 4.0 mm (0.157 in) ± 2.0 mm (0.078 in).
- Flushness = 1.0 mm (0.039 in) ± 3.0 mm (0.118 in).
- Cycle the tailgate step to the fully extended position to make sure of normal operation.
