Transmission Fluid Cooler Tubes - 6.2L: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
- Remove the radiator grille. For additional information, refer to EXTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .

NOTE: Do not disconnect the A/C lines while moving the A/C condenser toward the front of the vehicle to remove the Oil-To-Air (OTA) transmission fluid cooler.
Remove the 2 bracket bolts and position the A/C condenser forward.
- Disconnect the front transmission fluid cooler tube from the radiator in-tank cooler.
- Remove the 3 pushpins from the lower air deflector.
NOTE: The bumper is removed for clarity.
- Remove the 3 remaining pushpins and the lower air deflector.
- Disconnect the front transmission fluid cooler tube from the OTA fluid cooler.
- Remove the front transmission fluid cooler tube secondary latches.
- Using the Transmission Cooler Line Disconnect Tool, disconnect the transmission fluid cooler tube assemblies.
- Detach the pin-type retainer from the frame rail and remove the front transmission fluid cooler tube assembly from the vehicle.
- Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
- Remove the transmission fluid cooler tube assembly bracket nut and position the transmission fluid cooler tube assembly and starter motor wiring harness brackets aside.

NOTE: The transmission fluid cooler tube assembly is removed from the rear of the vehicle.
Disconnect the rear transmission fluid cooler tubes from the transmission case and remove the rear transmission fluid cooler tube assembly from the vehicle.
