Catalytic Converter - RH, FWD: Installation
NOTE:
Do not excessively bend, twist or allow the exhaust to hang from the flexible pipe or damage to the exhaust system may occur.
NOTE:
Exhaust fasteners are of a torque prevailing design. Use only new fasteners with the same part number as the original. Torque values must be used as specified during reassembly to make sure of correct retention of exhaust components.

NOTE: Make sure to tighten the 4 new nuts in the following sequence.
Install a new RH catalytic converter gasket, position the RH catalytic converter and tighten the 4 new nuts in the sequence shown in illustration.
- Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- Install the exhaust Y-pipe. REFER to Exhaust Y-Pipe .
- Install the RH CMS. REFER to CATALYST MONITOR SENSOR - 3.5L TI-VCT .
- Install the splash shield and attach the 3 retainers.
- Start the engine and check for exhaust leaks.
