Pinpoint Test

1. Connect the scan tool.
2. Ignition ON.
3. Using a scan tool, perform BCM self-test to retrieve DTCs  .
4. Record any BCM DTCs  retrieved.

Is U0100:00 present in the BCM? 

• Yes:
  • REFER to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE K : U0100:00 to diagnose the BCM DTC.
• No:
  • GO to 2  .

1. Ignition OFF.
2. Disconnect BCM C2280B.
3. Disconnect DC / AC Inverter C3501A.
4. Measure:

   DC / AC Inverter			Ground
   C3501A			Ground
   Pin	Circuit	Measurement / Action	Pin	Circuit
   5	VDN01 (BU/WH)		-	Ground

Is the resistance greater than 10, 000 ohms? 

• Yes:
  • GO to 3  .
• No:
  • REPAIR the circuit.

1. Measure:

   DC / AC Inverter			BCM
   C3501A			C2280B
   Pin	Circuit	Measurement / Action	Pin	Circuit
   5	VDN01 (BU/WH)		52	VDN01 (BU/WH)

Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 

• Yes:
  • INSTALL a new DC / AC inverter. REFER to Direct Current-Alternating Current (DC-AC) Inverter . TEST the system for normal operation. If the AC outlet still turns off after 13 minutes when the engine is running, INSTALL a new BCM. REFER to BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) - WITH INTELLIGENT ACCESS (IA) Or BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) - WITHOUT INTELLIGENT ACCESS (IA) .
• No:
  • REPAIR the circuit.
