Rear Disc Brake: Installation

  1. Clean any rust or foreign material from brake disc and wheel hub.
    • Use specified brake parts cleaner to clean the brake disc and hub mating surfaces.
  2. Apply a thin coat of specified anti-seize lubricant to the hub flange.
  3. Install the brake disc.
  4. Install a new brake disc screw.
    • Tighten to 20 Nm (177 lb-in)
  5. Position the brake caliper and brake caliper anchor plate assembly and install 2 new bolts.
    • Tighten to 103 Nm (76 lb-ft)
  6. Apply brakes several times to verify correct brake operation.
  7. Install the wheel and tire. REFER to WHEEL AND TIRE .
