Pinpoint Test

1. Ignition OFF.
2. Disconnect: LH Front Window Motor C524.
3. Measure:

   LH Front Window Motor			Ground
   C524			Ground
   Pin	Circuit	Measurement / Action	Pin	Circuit
   1	SBP01 (RD)		-	Ground

Is the voltage greater than 11 volts? 

• Yes: GO to 2  .
• No: VERIFY BCM fuse 1 (30A) is OK. If OK, REPAIR the circuit. If not OK, REFER to the appropriate wiring diagrams to identify the possible causes of the circuit short. REFER to OEM FUSE AND RELAY INFORMATION and OEM WIRING DIAGRAMS . DE-INITIALIZE, then INITIALIZE the LH front window motor. REFER to Window Motor Initialization .

1. Ignition ON.
2. Measure:

   LH Front Window Motor			Ground
   C524			Ground
   Pin	Circuit	Measurement / Action	Pin	Circuit
   3	CBP32 (GN/VT)		-	Ground

Is the voltage greater than 11 volts? 

• Yes: GO to 3  .
• No: VERIFY BCM fuse 32 (15A) is OK. If OK, REPAIR the circuit. If not OK, REFER to the appropriate wiring diagrams to identify the possible causes of the circuit short. REFER to OEM FUSE AND RELAY INFORMATION and OEM WIRING DIAGRAMS . DE-INITIALIZE, then INITIALIZE the LH front window motor. REFER to Window Motor Initialization .

1. Ignition OFF.
2. Measure:

   LH Front Window Motor			Ground
   C524			Ground
   Pin	Circuit	Measurement / Action	Pin	Circuit
   2	GD233 (BK)		-	Ground

Is the resistance less than 3 ohms? 

• Yes: GO to 4  .
• No: REPAIR the circuit. DE-INITIALIZE, then INITIALIZE the LH front window motor. REFER to Window Motor Initialization .

1. Ignition ON.
2. While pressing and releasing the LH front window control switch, measure:

   LH Front Window Motor			Ground
   C524			Ground
   Pin	Circuit	Measurement / Action	Pin	Circuit
   4 (UP)	CPW11 (BU/GY)		-	Ground
   5 (DOWN)	CPW10 (YE/OG)		-	Ground

Is the voltage greater than 11 volts when the LH front window control switch is pressed; and 0 volt when the switch is released? 

• Yes: INSTALL a new LH front window regulator motor. REFER to Window Regulator Motor - Front Door . INITIALIZE the LH front window motor. REFER to Window Motor Initialization .
• No: If voltage was less than 11 volts when the switch was pressed, GO to 5  .

  If voltage was greater than 0 volt when the switch was released, GO to  6.

1. Ignition OFF.
2. Disconnect: LH Front Window Control Switch.
3. Measure:

   LH Front Window Motor			LH Front Window Control Switch
   C524			C504
   Pin	Circuit	Measurement / Action	Pin	Circuit
   4	CPW11 (BU/GY)		17	CPW11 (BU/GY)
   5	CPW10 (YE/OG)		18	CPW10 (YE/OG)

Are the resistances less than 3 ohms? 

• Yes: INSTALL a new LH front window control switch. REFER to Window Control Switch . INITIALIZE the LH front window motor. REFER to Window Motor Initialization .
• No: REPAIR the affected circuit. DE-INITIALIZE, then INITIALIZE the LH front window motor. REFER to Window Motor Initialization .

1. Ignition OFF.
2. Disconnect: LH Front Window Control Switch.
3. Ignition ON.
4. Measure:

   LH Front Window Motor			Ground
   C524			Ground
   Pin	Circuit	Measurement / Action	Pin	Circuit
   4 (UP)	CPW11 (BU/GY)		-	Ground
   5 (DOWN)	CPW10 (YE/OG)		-	Ground

Is any voltage present? 

• Yes: REPAIR the affected circuit. INITIALIZE the LH front window motor. REFER to Window Motor Initialization .
• No: INSTALL a new LH front window control switch. REFER to Window Control Switch . INITIALIZE the LH front window motor. REFER to Window Motor Initialization .
