Pinpoint Test

  1. VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN
    1. Ignition ON.
    2. Verify there is an observable symptom present.

    Is an observable symptom present? 

    1. Yes: GO to .
    2. No: The system is operating normally at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
  2. CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK
    1. Ignition ON.
    2. Using a scan tool, perform a network test.

    Does the C-CM pass the network test? 

    1. Yes: GO to .
    2. No: REFER to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE U : The Cruise-Control Module (C-CM) Does Not Respond To The Scan Tool.
  3. RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs  FROM THE HUD MODULE SELF-TEST
    1. Using a scan tool, perform the HUD module self-test.

    Is DTC U3003:16 or DTC U3003:1C recorded? 

    1. Yes:

      For DTC U3003:16, REFER to Diagnostic Routine E .

      For DTC U3003:1C, REFER to Diagnostic Routine F .

    2. No: GO to .
  4. RECHECK THE HUD MODULE DTCs 
    1. Using a scan tool, clear the DTCs  .
    2. Repeat the HUD module self-test.

    Is DTC U0104:00 still present? 

    1. Yes: INSTALL a new C-CM  . REFER to CRUISE CONTROL MODULE (C-CM) . CLEAR the DTCs  . REPEAT the self-test.

      If DTC U0104:00 is still present, INSTALL a new HUD module. REFER to Head Up Display (HUD) Module .

    2. No: The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
