Valve Springs: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. NOTE: Check the seating of the valve collet.

    Install the valve spring and the valve spring retainer.

    • Using 303-300  (T87C-6565-A), 303-350  (T89P-6565-A), 303-472  (T94P-6565-AH) and 303-1249  compress the valve spring and install the valve collet using some grease and a small screwdriver.

  2. Disconnect the compressed air supply.
  3. Repeat the appropriate removal and installation steps for all of the other cylinders.
  4. Install the spark plugs. REFER to SPARK PLUGS .
  5. Install the valve tappets. REFER to Valve Tappets .
