Glow Plug: Removal

  1. Remove the LH or RH fender splash shield. For additional information, refer to FRONT END BODY PANELS .
  2. NOTE: It may be necessary to unthread the engine sound shield retainers from the engine.

    Remove the 5 RH or 4 LH engine sound shield retainers and the RH or LH engine sound shield.

  3. Using the tabs on the top of glow plug connector, pull the glow plug connector off the glow plug.
  4. NOTE: The use of an 8mm deep socket with no internal shoulder is necessary for removal and installation of the glow plug.

    Remove the glow plug.
