Disassembly And Assembly: Turbocharger: Disassembly

Protect the bottom sealing surface of the turbocharger and place on a bench.
Remove the 3 bolts and the turbocharger-to-pedestal bracket.
- Discard the 3 bolts.

With the aid of an assistant, rest the turbocharger on the bench with the turbine outlet side down and remove the 2 pedestal-to-turbocharger bolts.
- Discard the 2 bolts and washers.

Remove the pedestal and inspect both sides of the sealing surface for damage.
- Discard the gasket.
- Clean both sealing surfaces.
