Disassembly And Assembly: Turbocharger: Assembly

Using a new gasket and the aid of an assistant, install the pedestal on the turbocharger.

Install the 2 new pedestal-to-turbocharger bolts and washers and tighten in 2 stages.
- Stage 1: Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Stage 2: Tighten an additional 180 degrees.

Install the turbocharger-to-pedestal bracket and the 3 new bolts finger tight.
- Do not torque at this time.

Tighten the 3 bolts to 11 Nm (97 lb-in) in sequence shown in the illustration.
