Turbocharger Wastegate Actuator

The turbocharger wastegate actuator is a canister device containing a diaphragm controlled by an applied vacuum. The diaphragm is attached to a connecting rod that is attached to the turbocharger wastegate. The vacuum source applied to the turbocharger wastegate actuator is controlled by the PCM to using the turbocharger wastegate regulating valve solenoid to vary the amount of vacuum applied to the diaphragm.
