The fuel cooler is a liquid-to-liquid heat exchanger located on the inside of the left frame rail. Fuel that bypasses the high pressure fuel injection pump and the fuel pressure control valve is subjected to high temperatures. The fuel cooler transfers this heat to the coolant before the fuel is returned to the fuel conditioning module. Refer to FUEL SYSTEM in this article for additional information.
