Disassembly and Assembly

- To remove individual parts, only carry out the listed steps as identified in the following table.SEAT CUSHION COMPONENTS - REMOVAL STEPS
Part Steps Cushion Assembly 2-6 Cushion Cover 2-6, 8 and 9 Cushion Disassembly and Assembly 2-15 Latch 2-7 Power Point 11 and 12 - Remove the seat. For additional information, refer to SEAT - FRONT, 20 PERCENT .
- Remove the seat backrest. For additional information, refer to SEAT BACKREST - FRONT, 20 PERCENT .
- Remove the rear trim panel.
- Disengage the 2 pin-type retainers.
- Slide up and remove the rear trim panel.
- Remove the 2 cushion pivot bolts and remove the cushion assembly.
- At assembly, do not tighten these 2 bolts to specification until after the backrest has been installed.
- To install, tighten to 35 Nm (26 lb-ft).
- At assembly, do not tighten these 2 bolts to specification until after the backrest has been installed.
- Remove the LH and RH inboard covers from the cushion assembly.
- Remove 3 latch-to-support assembly bolts and the latch.
- To install, tighten, to 45 Nm (33 lb-ft).
- If equipped, remove the 2 screws and the storage bin release handle.
- Disengage the cushion cover J-clip, the hook and loop strips and remove the cushion cover.
- Remove the cushion foam pad.

NOTE: Engagement area for assembly shown below.
If equipped, remove the 2 cushion storage bin screws, disconnect the power point and remove the cushion storage bin.
- If equipped, disengage the 2 tabs (1 shown) and push the power point out.
- If equipped, remove the 2 lock cylinder screws and the lock cylinder.
- To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
- If equipped, detach the pin-type retainers and remove the wire harness.
- To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.
