Removal and Installation

- Remove the brake disc. For additional information, refer to REAR DISC BRAKE .
- Release the tension on the parking brake system. For additional information, refer to PARKING BRAKE CABLE TENSION RELEASE .
- Release the parking brake cable from the parking brake bracket assembly.
- Rotate the parking brake cable 90 degrees to release it from the parking brake actuating lever.
- Remove the 2 brake shoe hold-down clips and the 2 brake shoe retaining pins.
- Remove the brake shoe adjusting screw and the lower brake shoe retaining spring.
- Remove the brake shoes and the upper brake shoe retaining spring.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Inspect the components for excessive wear or damage and install new as required.
