Driveshaft Universal Joint - Double Cardan: Assembly

- Position the spider in the driveshaft end yoke, and position the bearing cup on the spider trunion.
- Using the C-Frame and Screw Installer/Remover, press the bearing cup far enough into the driveshaft end yoke to place the opposite bearing cup on the spider trunion.
- Position the opposite bearing cup on the spider trunion.
- Using the C-Frame and Screw Installer/Remover, press the bearing cup to just below the snap ring groove.
- Install the new snap ring.
- Using the C-Frame and Screw Installer/Remover, press the opposite bearing cup to just below the snap ring groove.
- Install the new snap ring.

NOTE: Align the index marks made during disassembly.
Position the driveshaft center yoke on the spider.
- Using the C-Frame and Screw Installer/Remover, press the bearing cups into position.
- Install the snap rings.
- Install the original spring.

NOTE: Align the index marks made during disassembly.
Position the remaining spider, the centering flange yoke and the bearing cup.
- Using the C-Frame and Screw Installer/Remover, press the bearing cup far enough into the yoke to place the opposite bearing cup on the spider trunion.
- Position the opposite bearing cup on the spider trunion.
- Using the C-Frame and Screw Installer/Remover, press the bearing cup to just below the snap ring groove.
- Install the snap ring.
- Using the C-Frame and Screw Installer/Remover, press the opposite bearing cup to just below the snap ring groove.
- Install the snap ring.
- Position the bearing cup on the spider trunion in the centering flange yoke.
- Using the C-Frame and Screw Installer/Remover, press the bearing cup into position.

NOTE: The assembly requires centering to install the final bearing cup, due to spring pressure.NOTE: Position the jaws of the Differential Bearing Remover and Step Plate into the driveshaft center yoke bearing cup bores.
With the Differential Bearing Remover and Step Plate in position, hand-tighten the puller to center the spider trunion in the bore.
- Using the C-Frame and Screw Installer/Remover, install the final bearing cup.
- Remove the C-Frame and Screw Installer/Remover, Differential Bearing Remover and Step Plate.

NOTE: If necessary, tap the yokes with a soft-faced hammer to seat the bearing cups.
Install the remaining snap rings.
- Move the end yoke through the working angles to verify freedom of movement.
