Axle Shaft Seal: Installation

  1. Install the new knuckle seal onto the axle shaft.
    1. Position the knuckle seal onto the axle shaft.
    2. Using the Driver and Knuckle Seal Installer and a soft-faced hammer, seat the knuckle seal onto the axle shaft.

  2. Position the axle shaft into the shaft housing.
  3. Using the Driver and Knuckle Seal Installer with a soft-faced hammer, install the knuckle seal into the wheel knuckle.

  4. Install the wheel bearing and hub assemblies. For additional information, refer to FRONT SUSPENSION - FOUR WHEEL DRIVE (4WD) .
