Axle and Differential Draining and Filling

303-D104 (D94T-9000-A) or equivalent
MATERIAL

Item Specification
Motorcraft® SAE 80W-90 Premium Rear Axle Lubricant
XY-80W90-QL (US); CXY-80W90-1L (Canada)
WSP-M2C197-A
  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Drain and refill the front axle lubricant.
    1. Remove the fill plug.
    2. Using an Oil Suction Gun, remove the axle lubricant through the fill hole.
    3. Fill the axle with the specified type and quantity of lubricant.
    4. Install the fill plug.
      • Tighten to 27 Nm (20 lb-ft).
