Track Bar: Installation

  1. NOTE: Tighten the track bar-to-frame bolt with the suspension at curb height or damage to the bushing may occur.

    Position the track bar and install the bracket nut and bolt. Do not tighten the nut at this time.

  2. NOTE: Use the hex-holding feature to prevent the track bar ball joint from turning while installing the nut, tighten the nut until snug. Final tighten the nut with the suspension at curb height or damage to the ball joint may occur.

    Position the track bar onto the ball joint and install the nut. Do not tighten the nut at this time.

  3. With the vehicle weight still supported by the jackstands, tighten the new track bar ball joint nut to 250 Nm (184 lb-ft).
  4. With the vehicle weight still supported by the jackstands, tighten the new track bar-to-frame bolt to 550 Nm (406 lb-ft).
