Turbocharger Inlet Pipe - RH, 6.7L Diesel: Installation

  1. Install a new gasket on the RH exhaust manifold flange.
  2. Install a new RH turbocharger inlet pipe clamp on the RH turbocharger inlet pipe.
    • Disengage the clamp T-bolt and loosely install the clamp on the RH turbocharger inlet pipe.
  3. NOTE: Do not bend or twist the turbocharger inlet pipes or damage to the bellows on the turbocharger inlet pipes may occur.
    NOTE: Do not tighten the RH turbocharger inlet pipe clamp at this time.

    Install the RH turbocharger inlet pipe and loosely position the RH turbocharger inlet pipe clamp over both sealing flanges.

  4. NOTE: Do not tighten the RH turbocharger inlet pipe nuts at this time.

    Install 3 new RH turbocharger inlet pipe nuts.

    • Hand tighten the 3 new nuts.
  5. NOTE: Do not tighten the Exhaust Pressure (EP) sensor flare nut at this time.

    Install the Exhaust Pressure (EP) sensor flare nut on the RH turbocharger inlet pipe.

    • Hand tighten the Exhaust Pressure (EP) sensor flare nut.

  6. Tighten the 3 RH turbocharger inlet pipe nuts.
    • Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
  7. Engage the RH turbocharger inlet pipe clamp T-bolt.
    • With the nut and the T-bolt in the vertical position, tighten to specifications.
      • Tighten to 15 Nm (133 lb-in).
  8. Tighten the Exhaust Pressure (EP) sensor flare nut on the RH turbocharger inlet pipe.
    • Tighten to 20 Nm (177 lb-in).

  9. Install the RH fender splash shield. For additional information, refer to FRONT END BODY PANELS .
  10. Install the crankcase vent oil separator. For additional information, refer to ENGINE EMISSION CONTROL .
  11. Install transmission fluid filler tube bracket bolt.
    • Tighten to 11 Nm (97 lb-in).
