Exhaust Intermediate Pipe - Gasoline Engines: Removal

NOTE:
Exhaust fasteners are of a torque prevailing design. Use only new fasteners with the same part number as the original. Torque values must be used as specified during reassembly to make sure of correct retention of exhaust components.
NOTE:
Some vehicle applications are not equipped with an exhaust intermediate pipe.
NOTE:
Some vehicle applications are equipped with an exhaust intermediate pipe with a resonator.
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
- Loosen the exhaust resonator-to-intermediate pipe Torca® clamp.
- Loosen the exhaust intermediate pipe-to-muffler Torca® clamp.
- If equipped, disconnect the intermediate pipe from the isolator.
- Disconnect the front muffler isolator.
- Remove the exhaust intermediate pipe.
