Exhaust Downpipe - 6.7L Diesel: Removal

NOTE:
Discard the exhaust upper downpipe clamp after removal. Install new during assembly.
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
- Remove the 2 bracket bolts and position the transmission fluid filler tubes aside.
- Remove the crankcase vent oil separator. For additional information, refer to ENGINE EMISSION CONTROL .

NOTE: Note the position of the exhaust upper downpipe clamp for installation.
Loosen the exhaust upper downpipe clamp.
- Remove the RH fender splash shield. For additional information, refer to FRONT END BODY PANELS .
- Remove the exhaust upper downpipe bracket bolt.
- Remove the 2 exhaust lower downpipe-to-catalyst and particulate filter assembly bolts.
- Remove the downpipe assembly and discard the exhaust upper downpipe clamp.

NOTE: Mark the exhaust upper and lower downpipes and Torca® clamp for orientation during installation.
If necessary, loosen the Torca® clamp and separate the exhaust upper and lower downpipes.
