Seat Backrest - Power: Disassembly

NOTE: For component identification and locations, Refer to SEAT - EXPLODED VIEW .
  1. Remove the affected seat backrest. For additional information, Refer to SEAT BACKREST - POWER .
  2. Remove the backrest cover. Refer to SEAT BACKREST COVER - POWER .
  3. Remove the backrest foam pad.
  4. Remove the head restraint in the following sequence.
    • Detach the head restraint release cable and conduit from the backrest frame.
    • Remove the 2 head restraint bolts.
      • To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
    • Remove the 2 head restraint nuts.
      • To install, tighten to 24 Nm (18 lb-ft).
    • Remove the head restraint and route the cable out of the backrest frame.
