Child Safety Seat Tether Anchor

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2013 Ford Explorer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The child safety seat tether anchor is a metal loop welded to the RH seat cushion frame. The LH seat is not equipped with a child safety seat tether anchor. Refer to the Owner's Literature for child safety seat tether anchor location information.

If a child safety seat was in use during a collision, inspect the child safety seat component mounting areas, repair any damage and restore the vehicle to the original production configuration.
